Dear god, what I have gotten myself into with this video. On the upside of things, I can pretty much coast until Thanksgiving break after next Friday.
Leisure books I have packed for college:
- American Gods - Neil Gaiman
- Contact - Carl Sagan
- High Fidelity - Nick Hornby
- One Day - David Nicholls
- Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic - Alison Bechdel
- Franny and Zooey - J.D. Salinger
- The Best American Non-Required Reading 2008
- Sophie’s World - Jostein Gaarder
- Will Grayson, Will Grayson - John Green & David Levithan
- Norwegian Wood - Haruki Murakami
- Mugglenet.com’s Harry Potter Should Have Died
The rest of my books are going to be packed away for who knows how long until we move into the new house. I think I have a pretty good and diverse selection for college, though. More than likely won’t get through half (a fourth?) of them this semester considering the extensive pile of books I have for my classes.
AHHH! I have my Target orientation tomorrow. I shouldn’t be this nervous about it, but I am. But hey! I have all my stuff moved into my dorm and will officially be living there on Sunday. Actually, I’m nervous about that, too.
MUST GO TO BED. I don’t even feel satisfied with my half-assed packing job, plus I didn’t even catch up on my DVR (yet). And then tomorrow there’s MORE PAINTING. MY GOD, I HOPE IT’S THE LAST DAY.
Actually, in all honesty, I really really like painting. I do not, however, like it when I have a bajillion other things to do.
Seeing everyone’s Facebook statuses about college is starting to give me anxiety. Everyone’s back already and I don’t start for another week.

One of the few things I look forward to going back to school for is the lunch room’s cookies. OH MY GODDD. They look something like this and they’re pretty much the bane of my existence.

I spent my last evening at college listening to Andrew Bird while intermittently working on my communications take home final and playing mahjong.
If that doesn’t sum up my entire freshman year, then I don’t know what does.
So, today I pretty much nailed my research presentation on libricide during the Holocaust. Yeah. I think I captured everyone’s attention and there was a lot of questions asked and we talked about Fahrenheit 451 and The Book Thief and it was awesome.
